The Ferrari One netbook from Acer immediately stands out from amongst the pack. It’s helped a bit by the aerodynamic design, but it’s the Ferrari prancing horse and racing red that really make heads turn. The racing comparisons don’t end there, for it features an AMD-Athlon processor, a massive 4GB of RAM and the ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics chipset. Quite a package.
Apart from its impressive exterior, the interiors reflect attention to detail with red lines around ports on either side, a red backlit power button and matte black finishing. Something to keep in mind is that Acer have taken the AS1410 and retooled it to achieve the FO200. The difference in cost is $180 odd. Differences in tooling include 2GB of RAM, ATI graphics, a slightly superior AMD processor and of course the Ferrari design work and brand name. Is it worth it? Let’s find out.
The Ferrari One FO200 includes an AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor, AMD M780G Chipset, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, a SATA hard drive, Integrated Webcam, ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, Dolby Home Theater sound technology, and 802.11 WiFi connectivity.

Overall, the TravelMate 6292 is very typical of Acer notebooks. It’s well specified and competitively priced and this immediately makes it an attractive option. But, on this occasion, Acer hasn’t quite delivered on every front. For a 12in notebook it’s definitely a few hundred grams too heavy, while some of the design features such as the thick bezel, average keyboard and the display could be improved upon. Despite these reservations though, this is still a very capable notebook and is well worth considering if you’d take performance in lieu of weight and portability.
This notebook based on Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset with Intel’s Next-Gen Wireless-N network connection, the Acer TravelMate 6292 notebook has Core 2 Duo T7100/T7300/T7500/T7700 processors. It supports up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory, and features a hard drive with up to 200GB Serial ATA hard drive. Regarding graphics, it has Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 graphics card.

Toshiba has a wide range of laptops and its Satellite Pro series is aimed at those users who are likely to want to use their machine either to run a small business or for the home.
The Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 (£420 inc. VAT) is the entry-level model, but you'll find this chassis used by a number of far more expensive models too.
With this in mind, Toshiba has had to design a high-quality casing and one look at the A200 confirms this. Made from plastic over a magnesium-alloy skeleton, this machine is solid and robust.
However, weighing 2.7kg, it isn't the most portable machine. When it comes to battery life, it's not the most effective machine, as the Satellite only managed to last 129 minutes when running our performance tests. This didn't even increase when using Power Saver settings.
The Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 share a 15.4? HD display. Configurations are available with either Intel’s latest mobile technology. Other features include next generation wireless (802.11a/g/n) and Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.

The number of 11.6-inch tablet convertible notebooks seem to be increasing almost daily. The Acer 1820PT model has shown up for pre-order in both Australia and Italy, and now has an official product page over at Acer US.
The Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PT is one of a number of convertible tablet PCs such as the Acer 1420P, 1820P, and 1820PTZ. This specific Acer Aspire 1820P model features an 11.6-inch multitouch display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, and Windows 7 Home Premium edition.
The Acer 1820PT also features an ultra-low-voltage Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.2GHz dual core processor, upto 8GB of RAM, Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics, 320GB hard drive, 802.11b/g WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth. We expect the Bluetooth and 3G will be optional.

Ive had the Acer Aspire 3500 laptop for nearly 5 years now and its a great laptop computer. Its never let me down, has everything I need to get full use out of it and for less than £500 this was awesome value for money.The battery life could be better; its never been very good but I dont really use it without it being plugged in anyway.Its got a great screen and the touch mouse is really good. If your doing a drag and drop when you get to the end of the mouse pad the cursor keeps moving as long as your finger is touching the side. I havent seen this on many other laptops and its a great feature.I really like the Aspire 3500 and in general Acer laptops. I dont think im getting another laptop but only cause Im getting a really good price of a HP off a friend but before, when I was looking I went straight to Acers to see what they have on offer.
The cheapest Aspire 3500 comes with Intel Celeron, 512MB of main memory, 60GB hard drive, combo CD-RW/DVD optical drive and Windows XP Home operating system.

Acer Extensa series is a line of Acer laptops made in China that was thought for business men and professional users. Extensa notebooks are a middle level version of Acer, with average configurations, designed for equilibrating the everyday usage with the business tasks.
If I were to enumerate the advantages of this model of laptop I would say that it is a rugged model that has great support and it is discrete, silent – (doesn’t draw attention), it has a solid feel and a solution for faster performances (the hard disk is partitioned in order that the large disk size doesn’t slow down your pc experience). The 120 GB HDD and the 1 GB RAM assures you an optimum usage. The screen was a pleasant surprise at this model: the matte display offers excellent viewing angles. The keyboard experience is also good, the typing is quiet and responsive and you can find a scroll button – helpful in the navigation on the internet activities.
