Acer’s marketing people should be fired. That’s the only conclusion I can come to after coming across what appear to be three identical 11.6-inch convertible netbooks/tablets from the company. Obviously, every company has the right to release different SKUs with slightly different hardware under the hood, but Acer doesn’t make it easy for the end consumer to know what those differences are.
The Acer Aspire 1420P, 1820PT and 1820PTZ convertible tablets have been made official by appearing on the official Acer US website. The only model we’ve previously heard of is the 1820PT that recently got a hands-on in Italy. The 1820PTZ seems to be identical but only sports an ‘Intel Dual Core’ processor as opposed to the ‘Intel Core 2 Duo’ seen on the 1820PT.
This gets confusing as the non-convertible 1810TZ model had the dual-core processor compared to the 1810T i.e. the TZ model was meant to be better, however in the above case the 1820PT is the better specced model.
Still with me? Well Acer has revealed another model, spotted by Engadget, called the Aspire 1420P. As before the specs are near-enough identical to the other two (11.6” multi-touch display, 8-hr battery life) bar the processor. This model comes with an Intel Celeron processor, so is likely to be the cheapest out of the lot.

Drivers Acer Ferrari 1200 For Windows XP
Acer recently announced their Ferrari 1200 laptop that will be coming soon. The laptop is sleek in looks as it has a carbon fibre cover. Carbon fibre is lighter and stronger then magnesium alloy. Lets see if the inside is as posh as the outside.
Other unique features to make it really look Ferrari-ish include a touchpad that that resembles the brake and acceleration pedals of a Ferrari car. The ventilation for the laptop echoes the design of exhaust pipes on an F1 car (hopefully the loud noises not included).
The Ferrari 1200 is powered by an AMD Turion X2 Ultra CPU and it also has the AMD M780G chipset in there too to enhance capabilities on the graphics side. you’ll also find a bundled BT wireless mouse, an optional Xpress VoIP phone, WiFi module, and fingerprint reader.
Now that the design side is mostly out of the way lets look at the technical specs. The laptop has a widescreen that measures 12.1 inches and uses Acer's CrystalBrite LCD with a white LED backlit display. With the backlight being LED there is less power consumed by the screen making it possible to run the laptop longer. With it having a 12.1 inch screen it probably falls out of the classification of being a netbook. Also inside you will find a slot-loading DVS SuperMulti Optical drive as well as 2nd generation Dolby Home Theatre sound which is a nice touch.
